Good Clinical Practice (GCP)


 

Based on the ICH GCP E6(R2) guidelines and incorporating local regulatory requirements, the GCP course seeks to equip participants with basic knowledge and understanding of how GCP principles may be applied to the conduct of clinical trials. Experienced speakers from various clinical research-related sectors will deliver a series of lectures covering the following broad elements:

  • Core principles of Good Clinical Practice and ethical research;
     
  • Local regulatory requirements and legal framework for clinical trials;
     
  • Responsibilities of the sponsor and investigator;
     
  • Procedures related to the operationalisation and conduct of clinical trials.


GCP Course (Online)
The online course will comprise the following components:

a) Online Lectures
The 15 online lectures cover the fundamental topics in Good Clinical Practice and are narrated by subject matter experts.

b) Assessment
Participants are required to complete an online quiz comprising 53 questions after completing the online and supplementary lectures. The online quiz will incorporate information from both the online and supplementary lectures.  

When a participant is confirmed, he/she will be given 1 month access to complete the online lectures and assessment. 

A e-Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to participants who achieve a minimum passing score of 75%.

How to register for GCP Course (Online)? 

  1. Click on the registration link above and you will be redirected to the FormSG GCP (Online) Course Registration form.
  2. Please fill in the required details accordingly and click submit. ​

        a. For participants paying by institutional funds

NUH and NHG staff only – 

You are required to fill in the NHG Training Acknowledgement Slip (TAS).

Please email the completed NHG Training Acknowledgement Slip (TAS) to researchtraining@nhg.com.sg at least 3 working days before the event start date.

TTSH staff only – 

In addition to the above, you are required to submit proof of Reporting Officer’s approval in iConnect (e.g. email confirmation or print screen of approval status in iConnect along with your completed TAS.) 

*For TTSH Drs who wish to tap on TTSH internal funding, please either apply through LNA or fill in the epink form from MEO.  

Kindly also check within your institution if there are other approval requirements such as completion of an e-pink form.

Non-NHG staff – 

You are required to input your billing personnel details in the FormSg form

You are required to key in the following details in the FormSg GCP Online registration form before making your Paynow payment:

Kindly take a screenshot once payment is made and attach the screenshot in the FormSg GCP Online registration form as payment proof.

We will email the e-receipt once the payment is verified.

 
3. A confirmation email containing the following details will be sent to you:

a. Link to e-Learn portal

b. e-Learn portal user guide, 

c. Log in username and password. 

d. Access period 

e. Troubleshooting instructions.
